Tax Free Holiday *This Weekend For AR & TN*

If it's feasible for you, this weekend is the time to go school shopping for the kids if you live in the AR, TN, MS area.  Below is a description for each state and items included.  Take advantage of no taxes, add it with items on sale and possibly ones you can use coupons on.  :)  Happy Shopping!   
 
2011 ARKANSAS SALES TAX HOLIDAY
Arkansas will hold its first annual sales tax holiday, beginning Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 12:01 a.m. and ending the Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 11:59 p.m.. State and local sales tax will not be collected during this 48-hour period on the sale of: (1) Clothing and footwear if the sales price is less than one hundred dollars ($100) per item; (2) Clothing accessories and equipment if the sales price is less than fifty dollars ($50) per item; (3) School supplies; (4) School art supplies; and (5) School instructional materials
 
2011 Sales Tax Holiday: August 5-7
Sales Tax Holiday
The State of Tennessee's Annual Sales Tax Holiday is held every year on the first Friday in August and ends the following Sunday night. This year's tax-free holiday weekend begins at 12:01 a.m on Friday, August 5 and ends Sunday, August 7 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Clothing under $100
  • School and art supplies under $100
  • Computers under $1,500
